I always assumed that this term referred to shiney icons with reflections on a white background - well I guess I'm just describing apple.
And here we are at Facebook again, as much as I try and avoid it, it keeps coming up.
You've got to give them credit though, they make a service that let people put all their info in and which in turn let Facebook sell and target ads directly to the people that they are marketing to.
Fucking brilliant if you ask me, while as a consumer I don’t really take issue with it since it targets me and shows me ads for things that (according to my profile, which I made) I want and am interested in - If this is the future of advertising thats great! since it means the death of loud obnoxious TV ads that scream in your face about the Ginsu knife that can cut through a shoe.
